CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz publicly announced in December 2024 that the administration would move to allow Medicare-eligible patients to receive hemp-derived CBD products — at no charge — when recommended by their doctor.
Up to $500 Annual Benefit
Medicare Advantage plans are being asked to consider a benefit of up to $500 per year per eligible enrollee specifically for qualifying hemp-derived CBD products that meet safety and quality standards.
Data-Driven Pilot Design
